The Newest Member of our Household.

We found out recently that Bruce won't be deploying this weekend. We are not sure when he will be deployng. Jessica has been Pug hungry because her mom just bought a baby pug, so today we bought a baby pug. We are still trying to come up with a name for him. So at the moment he is nameless.

New Lighting in the Kitchen

We Love GREAT deals! We bought the new light fixture at Costco. We loved it so much that we purchased a second one for the Dinning Room.

We still need to repaint the ceiling in the Kitchen. So when we have completed that we will remove the blue painters tape.

NEW PAINT ON EXTERIOR DOORS

Today Jessica has been working hard on painting the exterior doors. The front door has a whole new feeling. It was blue and looked like a grandmas front door. I will admit, when we have the money it will be replaced. The Back door needs some more work, in addition to a new outside light fixture.

Goodbye Nissan Xterra and Goodbye Vibe

With a few tears shed, Jessica Traded in her FAVORITE Xterra tonight. Jessica gave up her baby. Most of you know how much she loved that car. But with Gas prices affecting us it was the only logical thing to do. In addition to the Xterra Trade we threw Bruce's Pontiac vibe into the mix on the trade. We rolled 2 car payments into one less car payment. It seemed like the only way we where not going to end upside down with gas prices scoring high, Bruce deploying we had to find away to get out of a car payment. So its a done deal.. Jessica feels a little less "cool" with out the Rugged Xterra, but lots of new things in the 08 Nissan Rouge she has never had. Jessica swears if they continue to manufacture the Xterra and the fuel effeicency gets better or gas prices go down she would love to own a 4th Xterra.

Replacing Sprinklers

We are home from California and the home improvement
was awaiting us upon our return. We came home to sprinkler
problems. Between staying on too long and not working at all
Bruce is working on replacing all the sprinkler heads prior to
his deployment in August.

We have taken a Break...

We are currently on vacation in California with Jess's family. We are loving the time we are able to spend with each other before Bruce deploys. Check out the pictures and the fun we have had in California.

The Beach House

We once had a streak of staying in this exact beach house for 20 years every summer. Then the previous owner passed away. It is the first time in nearly 10 years that we have stayed in this beach house. It was under renovation for awhile in addtion to the new owner lived in it for awile. He is now renting the house again. It has since seen major renovation inside and a new color scheme outside. It has a charming new country french theme inside.

1 Year Anniversary - JULY 6TH 2008

On our Anniversary we went to the San Diego Zoo then Stayed the night at the Embassy Hotel in the Newport Area. It was a very nice day. I have posted a picture of the lobby area of our hotel and a picture of the two of us. In addition I have posted pictures of some animals at the zoo and Bruce with his Monkey that Jess bought him.

The Happiest Place on Earth!

We went to Disneyland Monday the 7th. It was Bruce's first visit to Disneyland. So we broke him quickly into our routine. We stayed at the park from Open to Close. It was a blast!
