New Outside Lights....

We have started to replace some of our old 80'S light fixtures... we started with the lights on the front porch. Horray!! Out with the old gold light fixures...in with the new.

Upstairs Bathroom Update

Jessica has begun to paint the upstairs guest bathroom. Thanks to Lowes mistint paint section... we came up with this green to paint the bathroom. It's so amazing to see what just a little paint can do to change the look and feel of a room. We will add finished pictures hopefully by new years.

The Updated Kitchen...

A little paint... and well these out dated cupboards are more liveable then before. We are waiting on our order of Handles... they should be here in a few weeks. Some new paint on the walls and a little touch up and we should be able to live with this for a little while, until we can afford to remodel the kitchen.

Dull & Blah TO Light & Bright

Over the Thanksgiving Break... Jessica has been busy painting. The picture on the bottom left is what the kitchen use to look like. The picture on the bottom right is what it is becoming. The picture on top... is a recent view of the near finished product. Ahh how paint can change the feel of a room. It is totally breathtaking. We will be replacing the light fixture next in this room.

From Drab to Fab!

Well the kitchen cabnits are close to finished. They went from drab 80's cabnits, to more modern and sheek cabnits... with a little paint and new hardware. Soon they will be hung and ready to be used. We are ordering new drawer pulls for the rest of the cabnits.

This picture does not do them justice... but trust me they look so much better!!

Back Yard Before and After

We did alot of riping out shrubs around the back deck. There are piles of wood in the back yard which we will have to haul away. But we are slowly cleaning up the yard.

Outside Before and After

The Wood Planter Box on the front porch is the next to go. We felt the two trees that we took out in front of the house were hiding the house. We also riped out a shrub that had over grown. While we were cleaning out the front yard... we found 8 baseballs, 3 footballs, a knife a pie tin and a water bottle. Lots of garbage hiding under the shrubs and ground covering.

The Kitchen In Process....

I have spent the day painting the outsides of the cabnits black.

Hopefully I will have the kitchen cabnits finished by this upcoming Sunday.

All "PAWS" for Renovation

Remy and Oreo are always wanting to be part of the action. Most of the time they are everything but helpful. They are awfully cute, but not very helpful when painting. Remy has run his little paws in the paint several times, while Oreo has come close.

Yard Work Begins!

It's Chain Saw Time!! Out with the old shrubs and trees that were growning into the house. We have riped out many over grown shrubs around the house. It will take many trips to the dump to get rid of debrie.

Kitchen Needs a Face Lift

Until we can afford to totally gut the kitchen. We have decided to paint the existing cabnits black to make the kitchen livable for awhile. We have just begun to get the kitchen preped to paint the cabnits.

Time To Get Out The Paint!!

Well after opening the closets and seeing how dirty and gross they were, I decided to start painting prior to placing items in the closet on the yucky old painted shelves. With a quick trip to Lowes, I am ready to paint. This house is going to need a whole lot more then just the closets painted. Pretty much the whole house from floor to ceiling needs to be repainted.

Let the Renovation Begin!!

We moved into our new home yesterday. We had to start the renovation as we tried to get our bedroom furniture upstairs. We ended up having to rip out the railing to get our dresser and box springs up the stairs.
